Chronic Fatigue

Chronic Fatigue is described as a chronic persistent or relapsing debilitating fatigue that does not get better with bed rest. Associated symptoms can include mild fever, sore throat, painful swollen glands under the arms, neck or groin, muscle weakness, headaches and sleep disturbances.

Chronic Fatigue often occurs in conjunction with a chronic viral infection like Glandular Fever or Ross River Fever. Sometimes even a blood test may not reveal the problem virus as sensitive equipment is needed to detect such.

Chinese Medicine uses a mix of modalities to manage chronic fatigue. Practitioners combine techniques such as acupuncture, Chinese herbs, moxibustion and recommends lifestyle changes to manage the condition
